Who was Ambrose Garfield Gene Ball?

As with everything we state on this blog, all the statements can be backed up with further evidence in the way of emails, audio or visual recordings. In most cases this involves a combination of the aforementioned.

Below is a photograph of Ambrose, which was edited with the image of Bob Marley and the words ‘What is in the dark will come to light’. This picture has become my all time favourite edited photograph of Ambrose and, it was done by someone who was a supporter of Ambroses’ various pages for a very long time, but suddenly disappeared. People such as this man, will never be forgotten for all the help, support and encouragement they gave to Ruth and I along the way. I will refrain from mentioning his name, as I don’t know whether he would like to be known publicly. But what I will say is thank you and we miss you !!!

Wow what a question, Who was Ambrose Garfield Gene Ball?

Of course this will be impossible to sum up in one page on a blog, but I will guarantee to do my best to explain who Ambrose was, rather than the opinion the Metropolitan police wanted the public to know.

When Ruth discovered she was pregnant,  she was awaiting trial for the offence of malicious wounding with intent. This occurred when Ruth was 17 and living on the streets.  The attacker was a pimp who had previously raped Ruth and tried to get her on the game.  He later found her at a club and approached her.  After refusing to go off with this man, this man proceeded to violently attack her. This attack included dragging her down the street by her hair, which  had caused her hair to be pulled out by the roots. As he was dragging her by the hair, she grabbed a knife which she carried for self protection, in a leather holder, and hit out at the man blindly, striking him in the process. This caused a serious injury. Ruth was arrested and charged with malicious wounding with intent, even though this was done in self defence. Ruth was sentenced to 2 years in prison, although she served just over a year. 

When Ruth went to prison she was already pregnant with Ambrose and although this was a tremendous shock for her, she was over the moon. She couldn’t wait for the baby to arrive, and he did, within a year of our younger brother Garys’ death. Ruth was allowed out of prison to give birth to Ambrose, but once they were both given a clean bill of health, they both returned.

In a tribute to Gary, when Ambrose was born, he was given the name of our brother Gary, whose full name was Ambrose Garfield and her best friend whose name was Jean, hence the name Ambrose Garfield Gene Ball.

Ruth was released from prison after about 18 months and her life, as a Mother began. As a child who had been subjected to an enormous amount of physical, sexual, emotional and psychological abuse, this road was not easy.  However, Ruth did the best she could, given he circumstances she had come from and the situation she then found herself and her first born Son in. 

The birth of Ambrose gave Ruth a reason to live. From the moment Ambrose was born they had a bond so strong, that nothing, no matter how bad things got, could break it.  Yes, of course they went through the ups and downs most families do, when faced with similar circumstances, but they always got through them, no matter how hard the struggle was.

Does Ruth have any regrets regarding her parenting skills? of course she does, like all of us. None of us are perfect and most of us are far from it, myself included.  However, that doesn’t mean we don’t care or we are not trying.  It just means ‘We are doing the best we can under the present circumstances and, although I know it’s not good enough, it’s the best I can do right now’. That is all we can EVER ask of anyone ”To do the best they can’…

Ruth really does love Ambrose more than life itself, as she does her other 2 Sons’. Ambrose was like a husband in many ways, and not in a perverted way either, before the ‘moronics of the internet’ decide to turn that comment into something disgusting. I mean it in the sense that he really cared about his Mother, the same way she did for him. They had an understanding and a closeness, very few people could understand and in some cases could even see.  Ambrose always contacted his Mother to make sure she was alright and to see if she needed anything. He was always the one who would break bad news i.e. he was tasked with having to tell her, of our oldest brothers death, less than a year before Ambrose was killed.  He was her shoulder to cry/lean on and someone she confided in about everything and anything. He was one of the few people she actually trusted on this Earth.  And most importantly they really loved and cared for each other equally. By taking away Ambrose, they have taken away a third of Ruth heart.

I am not saying Ambrose was an angel, of course I’m not , as no one is, are they? But, what I will say is that he was a good man, who always did the best for his family and worked hard for a living. He was like the majority of young men his age, not the minority and by that I mean the following…

When Ambrose went out with his friends he enjoyed a drink and they would occasionally take cocaine. Like many people, there would be occasions when Ambrose would over indulge in these substances, and he could become hotheaded if somebody approached him looking for trouble. Ambrose was not someone who would walk away from a situation, he would face it head on, much like his Mother. Aside from that, there are no hidden skeletons, as his Mother Ruth has been completely truthful about everything, including the ugly issues. 

In addition to being a fantastic Son, Ambrose was also a caring brother to his 2 younger siblings Jonathan and James. Below are a few photographs of Ambrose with his brothers and Mother in their younger days…

Below are photographs of Ambrose and  his 2 children. His children meant the World to Ambrose, as they do to their Mother.  When the Mother and Ambrose separated it was very had on both of them, but especially the children. However, because Ambrose and the Mother were able to remain friendly and adult about the situation, the impact on the children was limited, as much as humanly possible. Once they became separated, Ambrose visited whenever he was able to, which was almost every weekend, including special celebrations etc. He also made a point of phoning every night to say goodnight to the children. The relationship between the 2 parents stayed relatively healthy throughout this period. They had been separated for less than a year when Ambrose was murdered and, it has been extremely hard for all of those who loved Ambrose, to come to terms with his disappearance and untimely death. 

Ambroses’ 2 children, lost their Father at a young age. This is such a tragic experience/loss for any young child, but more so, when the truth is unknown and, so much is unknown in this case. THEY are the main reason the truth has to be told. Ambroses’ Mother and the rest of the family, need the truth we have been demanding for the  last 3 years, so we can at least try to start grieving. Imagine if this was your children and their Father, what would you do?

In addition to being a loving and caring Father, Ambrose was also a hard worker.  He worked whenever and wherever he could to provide for his family. He was a car sprayer and worked on car bodies by profession. He worked in a number of settings, including (for a short period of time), his own small garage. Below shows him teaching his children the the trade he knew so well.  This is something he really enjoyed doing with them and something they really enjoyed learning …

Two of the photographs below were taken as we celebrated Christmas at my home, along with other members of our extended family.  In the first photograph Ambrose is with our father and my eldest Son. The second photograph was taken the same day, but shows Ambrose singing and dancing in the kitchen. The 3rd one was taken when with our father when Ambrose was a baby …

The photograph below was taken beside Ambroses ex partner, a few years before they separated.  She has been removed from the photograph, for reasons of privacy. As you can see, Ambrose looks in love and very happy :0)

Below is one of the last known photographs, taken of Ambrose. This is a real resemblance to what Ambrose looked like on the 24th January 2015, not the photograph that the Metropolitan Police were circulating.  

The loss of Ambrose has had a devastating effect on a number of people, but especially his Mother Ruth.  Within minutes of being informed of the ‘accident’ she KNEW something wasn’t right. From that day till this, her life has never been the same, as you will have gathered from this blog and her emails. Ruths’ goal since the 24th January 2015 at approximately 08:00 a.m. to this day, has been to find out what happened to her first born Son Ambrose. She is no different from any other Mother in that respect, I would do the same, wouldn’t you?

Being beside someone you love, who is in so much pain, is heart breaking to watch and live with.  There is nothing one can do to bring comfort in such a situation, except to observe and try to ensure that Ruth doesn’t do anything dangerous to herself. I hope and pray that once the truth has been exposed, we will all be able to relax a little more and start to breathe with ease…

What we have been put through by the Metropolitan Police, The I.P.C.C. the BBC, Clare Johns, some MP’s, Stafford Scott and internet Trolls, has been horrendous, and something I would never wish on my own worse enemy.  All the establishments/people I have just mentioned, have tried everything in their power to stop the facts surrounding Ambroses’ case, becoming public knowledge.  We have been portrayed as something we are not via the BBC, Clare Johns, the Metropolitan Police, the press, Stafford Scott, The Monitoring Group (we do not include Suresh Grover in that statement) and internet Trolls. 

We have had our voices ignored over very serious matters for almost 3 years.  Although the bulk of the MP’s were very good at sending emails, they were no good at going/getting further than that.  This unfortunately, did nothing to help us get the answers we have been after for almost 3 years.  David Lammy also went as far as going along with a programme which was produced by the BBC and hid the facts  surrounding Ambroses’ case, against our wishes.  

Could I please, encourage you, to share my Youtube videos and blog via FB, Twitter and any other social media network you have an account with.  

We have been struggling to get justice for 3 years and to bring this case to the attention of the wider media and general public, but, we have been blocked at every avenue, by the BBC and the Metropolitan Police to name just a couple of organisations. Re-tweeting and sharing this via social media, in the hope that it goes viral, is our last hope. It only takes a few seconds to do, but it would mean the World to us and, it could make all the difference regarding Ambroses’ case receiving the exposure it deserves. Please don’t do nothing, God forbid, you could find yourself in the same situation, which is something I wouldn’t wish on my worse enemy.
